TV Series News – Margot Robbie Wanted To Give Harley Friends

TV Series News
The DC live-action universe is a fascinating place that seems to be in constant motion. Rather than full release schedules like the MCU, Warner Bros. allows the performance of each blockbuster to dictate its future. There have been some cast and director shakeups as a result of Justice League's box office bomb, but one thing is clear: DC is putting a lot of stock into Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn. The femme fatale was a fan favorite from David Ayer's Suicide Squad, with the highly anticipated Birds of Prey marking her second appearance on the silver screen. And it turns out that the movie's writing was at least partly influenced by Robbie's hope that Harley gets real friends. Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a semi-spinoff for Harley, while also in...

TV Series News – Chip And Joanna Gaines Feared They Would Not Make It Before HGTV Show

TV Series News
It turns out that Chip and Joanna Gaines feared they would not make it before the launch of their HGTV show. The financially rocky period for the do-it-yourself power couple came as the housing market fell into a downward spiral. For the Fixer Upper stars, things became a question of survival. Chip and Joanna Gaines were talking at Hubspot’s annual INBOUND conference when they opened about those rough times. Fixer Upper premiered in 2013, putting the time frame that Joanna Gaines references occurring around 2008 or 2009. Discussing that problematic period, Joanna Gaines said (via People): Every Friday, the two were left to wonder if they would make it -- and that went on for four to five undoubtedly exhausting years. That tough spot has given Chip and Joanna Gaines an appreciation for

TV Series News – Toy Story 4’s Alternate Ending Might Be Even More Heartbreaking

TV Series News
Warning: major Toy Story 4 SPOILERS ahead! As was expected given the series’ track record, the ending of this summer’s Toy Story 4 was bittersweet in every sense of the word, leaving audience members emotionally wrecked after saying goodbye to these beloved characters for perhaps the final time. But if you thought the theatrical ending to the Pixar film was rough, Toy Story 4’s alternate ending might be even more heartbreaking. Toy Story 4 doesn’t hit digital and home video until October, but Entertainment Weekly has an early look at one of the bonus features, which include an alternate ending for the film. In it, after helping all the other lost toys find kids and homes, Bo Peep sees a kid from the store that she connects with (possibly Harmony, the girl that Gabby Gabby wanted to be

After years of being fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’ve trained our eyes to closely watch out for Easter eggs that either foreshadow our favorite characters’ futures or cleverly wink at their origins. As Spider-Man: Far From Home reaches more eyeballs, especially with its Tuesday digital release, fans are spotting more fun nods, including this one during Peter Parker’s flight to Europe: Future Disney+ content? No, this is a screenshot from Spider-Man: Far From Home (via Marvel Stuff) that shows some universe interconnected in-flight entertainment as Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is trying to escape the fallout of Endgame, including the death of his mentor/father figure Tony Stark. Just as you’d expect the world to react if the Snap really happened, tons of documentaries seemed to

TV Series News – Moviepass Exec Wants To Rebuild The Company

TV Series News
Only a couple years ago, MoviePass was one of the biggest names in the industry. The company made unlimited theatrical viewing affordable to a lot of people and the service's subscriber base skyrocketed. However, from their high point, there was only one way to go, and MoviePass slowly began to bleed subscribers and money until the company officially announced it was closing down last week. However, at least one major company executive isn't ready to give up on MoviePass. Ted Farnsworth, former head of MoviePass parent company Helios and Matheson Analytics says that he believes that MoviePass can still be salvaged, though he admits it's a process that will require time. According to Farsnworth... It's certainly true that MoviePass disrupted the industry. When the movie ticket subscript...

TV Series News – Saw Reboot Director Teases A Trap Worse Than The Needle Pit

TV Series News
The horror genre has been in a bit of a renaissance lately, with new and exciting projects hitting theaters and making tons of money in the process. But the genre has always been built on long-running franchise and inevitable sequels. The Saw franchise had a long initial run, returning to theaters a few years ago with Jigsaw. The torture porn series will be back to terrify moviegoers this coming May, with a re-imagining produced by Chris Rock. And it looks like the traps are going to be especially nightmare inducing, even worse than iconic ones like Saw II's pit of needles. Saw II hit theaters back in 2005, and expanded the narrative and scope of Jigsaw's world. One of the most horrifying aspects of the movie's giant trap involved a pit of used syringes. Jigsaw protegee Amanda is thrown...

TV Series News – Timothy Olyphant Found A Great New TV Role After Netflix Cancelled Santa Clarita Diet

TV Series News
I am far from over Netflix cancelling Santa Clarita Diet, but at least Timothy Olyphant will be back on my TV set fairly soon for a "key" role in Fargo Season 4. It'll also mark an FX reunion for Olyphant, who played Raylan Givens for six seasons on FX's Justified. Fargo is an anthology series, but each season is connected in some way. Fargo Season 4 will star Chris Rock as the head of a crime syndicate of black migrants who clash with the Kansas City mafia. According to Deadline, Timothy Olyphant plays the major recurring role of Dick “Deafy” Wickware. We'll have to stay tuned for more specific details on his role. Fargo fans should definitely see some connections to Season 2 -- aka the best season, in my opinion -- which co-starred the scene-stealing Bokeem Woodbine as Mike Milligan

TV Series News – Halloween Kills Celebrated Its First Day Of Shooting In The Perfect Way

TV Series News
The past few years have been a good time to be a horror fan, as the genre has been in a bit of a renaissance. Plenty of quality movies have hit theaters in recent years, making money at the box office while also becoming critical darlings. Many of these new classics have come from Blumhouse, including 2018's Halloween. That story is being expanded into a bonafide trilogy, with Halloween Kills starting filming in the perfect way. David Gordon Green and Danny McBride are back as director and writer of Halloween Kills respectively, reuniting them with the current cast, new faces, and OG actors from John Carpenter's 1978 original. Fans are eager to see what Green has in store narratively, and his crew welcomed him to the director's chair in a hilarious way: with a butcher knife. Check it ou...

TV Series News – Universal Monster Movie The Invisible Man Has Finished Filming, And It Sounds Like A Rough One

TV Series News
Making movies is supposed to be all glitz and glamour, and while living in Hollywood may be just that a lot of the time, the actual making of movies can frequently be quite the opposite. Such was apparently the case on the set of the brand new Invisible Man movie. Director Leigh Whannell took to social media to announce the end of principal photography for the movie, which, based on how the shoot ended, was probably a good thing for everybody. If filming wrapped at 6:00 AM than that certainly means it started long before then. Being up really early, or incredibly late, as the case may be, and in the rain to make things worse, certainly doesn't sound like the shoot was as exciting as the final product of the film is likely to be. Needless to say, making a movie isn't exactly a 9-5 job. ...

TV Series News – Tommy Wiseau Added Himself To The Suicide Squad Cast, Because Of Course

TV Series News
Writer-director James Gunn recently announced the full cast of his upcoming film The Suicide Squad. It is a fantastic list of names that includes returning favorites from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad as well as a host of new faces. However, one person found a glaring omission in the cast list. That person is Tommy Wiseau, who added himself to The Suicide Squad cast, because of course he did. Take a look: Tommy Wiseau has apparently been working on his Photoshop skills. The writer, director and star of consensus worst movie ever The Room, took to Twitter to slyly insert his name into James Gunn’s cast list for The Suicide Squad. And because subtlety isn’t exactly his forte, Tommy Wiseau put his name at the top of the cast list; he’s Tommy Wiseau after all. To make things look legit and ma
