TV Series News – J.K. Rowling Went Into More Detail About Dumbledore And Grindelwald’s Relationship

TV Series News
The Harry Potter novel and film franchises might have ended years ago, but J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World has continued expanding. This has been done through Pottermore, the Cursed Child plays, as well as the Fantastic Beasts movies. Rowling has planned five prequel movies, which should help illuminate the world Harry and his friends occupied in the original series. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald had a ton more connections to the Harry Potter franchise, with the inclusion of Mcgonagall, Nagini, and Jude Law's younger Albus Dumbledore. J.K. Rowling has previously discussed the complicated relationship that Dumbledore shares with Johnny Depp's villain Grindelwald, which is at least partly romantic in nature. Now Rowling has expanded her thoughts on this love/hate dynamic, sa...

TV Series News – Dumbo Has Screened, See The Early Reactions

TV Series News
2019 is the year Disney goes all in on the remakes of its animated classics. Later this summer we'll see both Aladdin and The Lion King hit the screen. But first, it's all about the flying elephant. Dumbo was Disney's fourth animated feature film, which makes it now the earliest one to get the live-action treatment. How does the new film stack up against the original, as well as the other Disney remakes? A few critics were lucky enough to see Dumbo early and most of them are pretty complimentary. Film critic Courtney Howard has one of the more glowing responses to Dumbo, complimenting both the message of the movie as well as the CGI title character. Dumbo has a blessedly surprising pro-animal rights agenda wrapped in a subtle, rebellious meta-commentary on a band...

TV Series News – Looks Like The Fox And Disney Merger Will Cause A Ton Of Layoffs

TV Series News
Even if you've never personally been part of a business merger of any kind (and I have), it's not hard to predict many of the things that will happen as a result. When two companies that used to do largely the same thing come together, you end up with one company that has a lot more employees doing the same job than it may necessarily need. That means layoffs. When two companies the size of Disney and 20th Century Fox come together, that's a lot of employees, and that means a lot of potential layoffs. Specifically, 7,500 people are expected to end up unemployed as a result of the merger. Needless to say, 7,500 people is a lot of people who likely will be viewed as redundant after the dust settles. The Disney/Fox merger is expected to be finalized on paper as early as next week. We like...

TV Series News – Watch Jay Leno Take Over The Tonight Show Monologue With ‘Angry’ Rants

TV Series News
In some ways, it's kind of amazing how much the late night talk show world has changed since Jay Leno made his permanent exit from The Tonight Show back in February of 2014. The comedian himself recently spoke about the tonal shifts and why he wouldn't want to return to that. However, that didn't stop Leno from literally returning for a surprise (to viewers) visit to Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. Watch out now, too, because this guy is ANGRY! (Not really.) Under the guise of being an angry stranger that Jimmy Fallon ran into on the street – which would an interesting failed experiment if attempted as a realistic talk show bit – Jay Leno returned to the Tonight Show stage to say a few things about the state of America. Not about politics or anything like that. But about how big cell ph

TV Series News – Rotten Tomatoes May Be Making Even More Changes To Combat Trolls

TV Series News
Rotten Tomatoes recently made changes to its users reviews after a deluge of trolls opted to give Captain Marvel some negative nods before the movie had even opened in theaters. The review aggregate service said the changes were not made to accommodate Captain Marvel specifically and will continue to be a part of Rotten Tomatoes moving forward. However, now it looks as if the site may not stop at changing the windows in which users are allowed to review. A new report indicates that Rotten Tomatoes is looking at “additional measures” in terms of user reviews. Per THR those measures will likely include adding an additional layer of security so that users have to verify they’ve seen a movie before they can review it on Rotten Tomatoes. This move hasn’t been made by the aggregate site ye

TV Series News – Endgame Trailer Has Us Obsessing Over Everyone’s Hair

TV Series News
The final trailer for Avengers: Endgame has arrived, and it definitely didn't disappoint. While most of the film's plot remains a mystery, Marvel Studios revealed new glimpses of the surviving heroes, and the world Thanos left behind after he snapped his fingers and wiped out half the galaxy's population. The final trailer actually answered a few long standing questions, while inspiring countless others. But it's various characters' hairstyles that I'm obsessing with, as they seem to be teasing a variety of exciting plot points. Let's break down all the biggest coiffures in Endgame. Black Widow's hair is an extremely fascinating aspect of the the Avengers: Endgame marketing, and one that has puzzled the fandom since the first trailer arrived. Widow had a short cut in Infinity War, dyed...

TV Series News – Lego Batman’s Ralph Fiennes Would Love To Play Alfred In Live-Action

TV Series News
The DC live-action universe is in a fascinating place right now. While all hope seemed lost after the performance of Justice League, Warner Bros quickly recovered, and restructured the shared universe. With less of a focus on serialized storytelling, the studio is allowing directors to tell more capsulated and crossover-free stories. James Wan's Aquaman has been a massive success, and there are a ton of exciting projects coming down the pipeline, including Matt Reeves' The Batman. The Batman solo flick has been in development for years, with Ben Affleck originally set to star and direct in the blockbuster. It's unclear when production might begin, as there are a variety of characters that need to be cast, including the Dark Knight himself. Does this also mean that Jeremy Irons is out a...

TV Series News – Los Angeles Is Bringing Back Hetty

TV Series News
Sure, this past week's NCIS episode suddenly got fans up in arms about the potential exit of David McCallum's Ducky, but I think everyone can agree on the biggest current mystery at the center of the NCIS franchise: where the heck is Hetty Lange? NCIS: Los Angeles star Linda Hunt has been absent from the show for ages now due to a real-world injury, but it now sounds like her return is on the horizon. NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah offered up a brief update about everyone's favorite operations manager, and the actress seemingly confirms we won't have to go with entire tenth season without some Hetty in our lives. According to Ruah: I do talk to Linda. We all love her so very much. She’s mamma bear to this whole family. Fans should expect to see her sometime

TV Series News – Endgame Is Still Hiding A Character We Think Is Going To Be Pretty Important

TV Series News
We have a brand new trailer for Avengers: Endgame to pour over and while it does a great job hiding a lot of information, it's what is being hidden that has us curious. We know the Avengers have a hail mary play in mind to save half the world, but we have no idea what it is. We got to see glimpse all of the remaining heroes in the new film, except for one. The trailer gives us a single shot of Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner, and nothing of his big green friend, the Incredible Hulk. At the end of Avengers: Infinity War Bruce Banner was having something of an anger management problem, which is to say he wasn't able to get his anger to produce the intended result. Hulk was refusing to surface for reasons that even Bruce Banner didn't understand. For a guy who, in the previous Marvel movie, T...

TV Series News – Captain Marvel Has A Cute Moment With Thor In The New Avengers: Endgame Trailer

TV Series News
Brief spoilers for Captain Marvel can be found in this article. In its latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame, Marvel gave us a lot of satisfying moments and ideas to chew on, including but not limited to Tony making it home or new suits for the remaining Avengers. In fact, especially if you haven’t caught Captain Marvel yet, the new Avengers: Endgame trailer introduces Captain Marvel to Thor with a cute scene that even has her briefly interacting with Stormbreaker. Take a look. After quickly grabbing his weapon from just under Captain Marvel’s nose, Thor simply declares he “like[s] this one,” adding a little levity into the mix. Overall, the final Avengers: Endgame trailer is pretty serious given the subject matter, but what I like most about the moment between Thor and Captain Marvel
